Lieutenant Duff was the Chief Officer of tugmaster Tom Coker of the tug vessel Vulcan during Operation Postmaster. Nigerian Marine. His tug was tasked with towing the Italian freighter Duchessa d'Aosta from the port of Santa Isabel and managed to bring it back to Lagos.
