Private Ernest Evison of the East Surrey Regiment joined the Maid Honor Force as a cook aboard the Maid Honor and later the Vulcan. He took part in Operation Postmaster in January 1942. Evison trained in France and Switzerland and was personally selected for this mission by Leslie Prout.
