By direction of the President, under the provision of Army Regulations 600-45, 22 september 1943 as amended the Bronze Star Medal was awarded tot he following enlisted man per General Orders No. 74, this Headquarters, 17 July 1945.

ARNOLD B. CAPSEY, 377 355 408 Sergeant, Headquarters Company, 48th Tank Battalion, 14th Armored Division. For meritorious service in France and Germany from 1 to 4 May 1945. In efficient and tireless devotion to duty, Sergeant Capsey made a notable contribution to the operations of the battalion. His determiniation in carrying out his assigned mission regardless of personal safety was an inspiration to all those who worked with him. Sergeant Capsey’s ability, initiative and courage reflect credit on himself and the Armed Forces.
