Corporal Peterse fought in the May days of 1940 (at the Ypenburg airfield) and continued his fight during the occupation. He is responsible for several assassinations. In 1947, he and co-defendants appeared before the Military Court for an alleged bombing in The Hague and the kidnapping of the Renkum hotel owner Van Rijswijk.
