13.01.1943: Maschinenmaat, U 507, KIA when U-507 was waterbombed by Catalina P-10 der US-Navy Squadron VP-93 and sunk by depth charges north-west of Fortaleza, Brazil in position 01.38S, 39.52W, South Atlantic - all hands lost (54 KIA) - Donald MacCallum the UK captain of the 'Baron Dechmont' previously sunk by U-507 was POW onboard U-507 and died also
