Biography

Friedrich-Georg Herrle served as Kommandant on board the "U 307" from November 18th, 1942 until December 1st, 1944. After this he served as Kommandant on board the "U 313" and the "U 393". He was killed on May 4th, 1945 toen when his ship was sunk by American bombers at 54.53 N / 09.37 O. At that moment he had served 16 operational sorties in which he in 297 days sunk two ships with a total of 7.226 BRT.
