Biography

Luftwaffe Feldwebel Dietrich Koch (17.10.20 and KIA 29 September 1943) was a Night Fighter and ROAG in the Nachtjagdgeschwader 1 for Luftwaffe Oak Leaf Recipient August Geiger. On 29 September 1943, Koch and Geiger were shot down by the Bristol Beaufighter VI of Wing commander Bob Braham of No. 141 Squadron RAF over the Zuiderzee (Netherlands). Geiger and Koch managed to bail out of their Messerschmitt Bf 110 G-4 (Werknummer 5477—factory number), but both drowned.
