Biography

Friedrich Obleser flew over 500 combat sorties and scored 120 aerial victories in which 8 were on the Western Front including 2 four-engine bombers.
Obleser served from 1956 until 31st March 1983 with the Bundeswehr, where he finally becamen Generalleutnant-Inspekteur der Luftwaffe. He was the last active General in the Bundeswehr with a Ritterkreuz.
