Captured and sent to Belomorsk-Sorokna with Leutnant Bodo Helms and Unteroffizier Kurt Philipp then sent to Krasnogorsk ivo Moscow
Died in captivity in POW camp Podma
Credited with 10 to 35 victories, except the first, all acquired with 7./ JG 5 on the Eastern Front
