Biography

Kurt Tanzer reached the rank of Leutnant. After the Second World War he served with the Bundeswehr reaching the rank of Major. He was killed in a crash near the Balearic Islands on June 26th, 1960.

Over the course of the war he flew 723 sorties (including 187 as a fighter-bomber), during which he achieved a total of 143 aerial victories (including 17 in the West, of which 4 were four-engined bombers).
