    Dienststelle L 09470.

    In 1940 he participated in the airborne attack on fort Eben-Emael (Belgium) as leader of assaultgroup # 4. Was in charge of the attack on Eben-Emael during the first hours of the attack. This beceause Rudolph Witzig arrived later.
    He was taken POW on 8th March 1943 by the British in Sedjenane, Tunesia and spent until 1947 in a POW-camp in Canada.
    After the war he worked as a forester in Celle, Germany.
