Biography

Flew a total of 102 sorties during WWII (including 15 by day). He ultimately achieved a total of 45 aerial victories (including 5 Russian aircraft and 2 four-engined bombers by day) as well as another 7 probable victories.

After WWII teacher of mathematics, physics and geography, from 1961 professor at the nautical school of Bremen, Germany. Until he was 75 years old, he was still active teacher of glider-flying and small motor aircraft.
