Lukkien was awarded the 2nd Vliegerkruis twice. The first was awarded on 9th December 1949 with Royal Decree No. 25. This second award was revoced by Royal Decree No. 18, dated 3rd June 1950 for the reason that the second award was for the same action as the first. With the same Royal Decree he also did receive his second Vliegerkruis.
