Stanley Cornell Jr. was born on August 28th, 1920 as son to Stanley W Cornell (1888 - 1946) and Fana MacQuade Cornell (1895 - 1980). He enlisted on July 23rd, 1943 and reveived his training at Camp Butner, NC and Camp Hood, Texas. Before entering service he had been employed for nearly two years as an official motor inspector at the Buffalo plant of the Pratt & Whitney Aircraft Engine Co.
