"Distinguished himself through courageous conduct against the enemy, by maintaining all contacts as secretary and member of the operations center of the Council of Resistance from its inception and by carrying out missions that entailed great danger.
During one of these missions, he was involved in a firefight with the Germans at the end of October 1945 and wounded.
By posing as a British pilot, he became a prisoner of war until his liberation by Allied troops."
