Awarded the Silver Star for gallantry in action at Lermoos, Austria on april 30, 1945. When a column was halted by hostile bazooka fire, Staff Sergeant Ogburn, squad leader, advanced alone across a bridge exposed to a hail of enemy fire and neutralized the enemy bazooka position.
