"In a February 1943 incident in Tunisia, a forward half-track tank in Rosick’s 601st Tank Destroyer Battalion was surprised by an armored enemy scout car, which fired its machine guns and anti-tank gun directly at the half-track. Rosick immediately came to its assistance and maneuvered his half-track skillfully into firing position, bringing effective fire upon the enemy vehicle.”

In November 1944 (France), Rosick and another soldier volunteered to remain with their immobilized scout car in order to prevent its capture or destruction by the enemy. Despite enemy mortar shells bursting nearby, and in the face of an attack by an enemy patrol, the two men held their position, took one German prisoner and drove back the remainder of the patrol."
