“Has led the 4. Batterie since the 06.12.1943. Has distinguished himself at every opportunity, showing great bravery and competence, especially during the fighting in the pocket southwest of Cherkassy and in the breakout from the pocket. For his exemplary bravery he was awarded the Knight’s Cross to the Iron Cross.”
