Flight Lieutenant Alberts has at all times shown a great keenness for operations and his fine offensive spirit has been an example to all members of this squadron. During all his operations he pressed home his attack with determination and no abortive sorties.
In view of this officer's fine record with this squadron and his contribution in two campaigns, Flight Lieutenant Alberts is strongly recommended for the award of the Distinguished Flying Cross."
