Sergeant James O. Corbin (Army Serial Number 32485017), Quartermaster Corps, United States Army, for distinguishing himself by meritorious service in connection with military operations against an enemy of the United States from 16 August 1944 to 8 May 1945, in France, Belgium, Holland and Germany. Sergeant Corbin's outstanding performance of his assignment as section sergeant helped assure the Division of ample stocks of ammunition, fuel and rations during the many months of combat operations. He frequently led convoys over hazardous roads under blackout conditions to deliver vitally-needed materiel of war. The initiative, ability and devotion to duty of Sergeant Corbin are worthy of high praise.
