Biography

Joannes (Johannes) Adrianes Rasenberg was like many young men forced to work for the German Arbeitseinsatz. He was obliged to work in Germany to sit in for the German young men who were fighting at the front. According to an eyewitness from the village Wagenberg, Joannes was arested after he had not reported himself to the Germans. He was seen hanging between two Dutch NSB members in black uniforms on cycles and never returned. He died for unknown reasons in Finthen (Mainz), Germany and is buried in the Dutch war cemetery in Frankfurt am Main.
