Dutch War Cemetery Frankfurt am Main

On Waldfriedhof Cemetery in Frankfurt-Oberrad is a Dutch plot with 756 war graves of the Second World War and a memorial with 242 names of other Dutch war casualties who could not be buried on this location. Many of the victims buried in this cemetery died as a result of the Arbeitseinsatz or died in concentration camps: Dachau, Flossenburg or Natzweiler. At the cemetery stands a monument of a falling man, this monument stands on several major Dutch cemeteries and commemorates all those who during the Second World War made effort to liberate the Netherlands and died doing so.
