Jaschke would be awarded the Knight’s Cross by Hitler himself for the achievements of his Brigade during the defense of Berlin. Fighting in the northern part of the city, his unit was credited with destroying over 90 Soviet tanks in just two days (presumably the 22.-23.04.1945).
