First Lieutenant Frank M. Fulgham, O-1307004, Infantry, United States Army, for heroic service in connection with military operations against an enemy of the United States near *** [Kalborn], Belgium on 29 January 1945. After making a careful personal reconnaissance, Lieutenant, commanding Company I, 134th Infantry, led his unit in an attack on the town of *** [Kalborn] across open terrain subjected to heavy concentrations of enemy fire. Due to his outstanding leadership ability, courage and tactical acumen, the objective was taken and counterattacks repulsed within a period of one and a half hours. Lieutenant Fulgham’s performance reflects credit upon his character as an officer.
Entered military service from Virginia.
