Frank served as Wireless Operator/Air Gunner with the RAF in WWII and lost his life when his plane, Wellington MF397 69 Squadron, crashed behind the "Bokkerij"at Vaassen, Gelderland Holland.
Hit by German anti-aircraft fire over Deventer, Netherlands at 21:30 hours on 07.04.1945: Five crew members died instantly, the sixth crew member died after a week in hospital. The entire crew is buried at the General Cemetery in Vaassen.
