Awarded for his battalion’s capture of the vital Moerdijk bridge on 10.05.1940, which they held until relieved by the soldiers of the 9. Panzer-Division. Hauptmann Prager led his men from the front despite having undergone an operation the month before, and was badly wounded during the battle while in the process of storming an enemy bunker.
