					Biography
					
					Private Slane was taken prisoner on 6 June 1944 and placed in a truck convey carrying many U.S. POW's. Private Slane was killed when Allied fighters strafed the convoy.
The son of Peter Patrick and Catherine Veronica McMullen Slane.
