Raymond W. Menefee was born in 1917 as the son to Sam G. and Icy B. Menefee and lived in San Antonio, Texas. He was enlisted on January 8th, 1941 and honorably discharged on July 27th, 1945. He served in North Africa, Sicily, Italy, Southern France and Germany.
