Biography

Prosdocimo J. Della Betta was born on October 15th, 1919 as son to Olivo Michele "Mike" and Maria Angela "Mary" Della Betta. He was married to Dora (DiBacco) Della Betta. After his education he started working in St. Louis, until it was his time to serve and he entered the U.S. Army Air Corps on February 5th, 1943. He arrived on February 1944 in England as Radio Operator with the 576th Bomber Squadron, 392nd Bomber Group.

His plane crashed near Heddinghausen, during a mission on March 15th, 1945. "Dutch" Della Betta was killed in this event. His remains were repatriated in May 1949 and buried at the St. Mary's Cemetery, Albia.
