Biography

George William Oliver was the sole survivor of the submarine H.M.S. H49, after the ship was sunk by German Depthcharges from "UJ 116" and UJ 118" under the command of Wolfgang Kaden on October 18th, 1940 near Texel, the Netherlands. He spent the rest of the war as a POW at Milag and Milag Nord
