He has distinguished himself in the face of the enemy by making himself available as a wireless operator in Janaury 1943 in order to maintain wireless communication for an intelligence group, in the process of being established in cooperation with the Intelligence Office of the Dutch government in London and for transmitting synoptical weather data, important to the Allied airforces. Furthermore, after his radiostation had finally been traced and raided by the enemy, having managed to escape in great danger and for having continued rendering his services to the Allied camp until the end of the war.
