Regrouped in Great-Britain and followed a course at Largo and Hardwick from February 1942 until August 1943 (Course 67 Août 1943).
He was promoted to 'Sous Lieutenant' on 8th August 1943.
He participated in operations 'Auchinleck' (February 1944 - June 1944 with 3rd R.C.P, HQ Squadron, 3rd Bataillon SAS), 'France' with 3rd SAS, 'Harrod and Barker' with HQ Squadron on 12th August 1944 and 'Amherst' from 4th April 1945 until 20th April 1945 with 21/HQ Squadron, 3rd SAS.
