For meritorious service from 25 February 1945 to 20 March 1945, in France and Germany. As Motor Sergeant, Technician Fourth Grade Gruber was responsible for all battalion vehicles. His work has kept transportation problems at a minimum and made it possible for all emergency transportation requests to be fulfilled immediately and successfully. Due to his unceasing devotion to duty and untiring efforts this assignment was accomplished in a superior manner."
