    Biography

    Wing Commander Farler was killed on a secret op called "Whiskey". The purpose was most likely to drop a NKVD-team in Austria.
    On 21 April, 1942 Halifax V9976 of 138 Sqdn took off from Tempsford, Bedfordshire but crashed against the slope of a hill near Kreuth, south of the Tegernsee (Lake Tegernsee). The weather was very bad and killed in the crash were (initially buried at Kreutz but reinterred at Durnbach War Cemetery:
