Elijah Waddilove was born on February 8th, 1891, in Preston, Lancashire, England as the son of Richard Waddilove and Ann Bamber. He married Elizabeth Ann Bromley in October 1913, in Preston, Lancashire, England. He died in March 1955, in Preston, Lancashire, England.
Elijah Waddilove was present at the battle and subsequent retreat from Mons.
He served as a dispatch rider, he rejoined again for the second world but was too old to fight. He trained soldiers at Fulwood barracks.
