After regrouping in Great-Britain and initial training at 'Camberley' until August 1943, he was promoted to 'Sergent-chef' on 8th August 1943. He participated in operations 'France' with 3rd SAS, 'Derry' from 5th until 18th August 1944 with Derry 1, Stick VII (2nd squadron), 'Abel' with Stick VII (2nd squadron) on 5th September 1944 and
'Amherst' from 4th until 20th April 1945 with 10/2nd Squadron, 3rd SAS.
