Biography

By profession student-smith/welder, born 17 October 1913 in Groningen and living in Dordrecht. He was married to Mietje Gobits and the son of Moses Wijnberg and Estella Cohen, both of whom were deceased. His date of passing is 29 July 1943. As a member of the resistance he ended up in Camp Amersfoort, and was executed on the Leusderheide.

Data from Jewish monument: in November 1941 Abraham Wijnberg joined the Dutch Order Department (OD) under the pseudonym Bob. He was involved in the attack on a third-man on 20 April 1942. He was arrested on 24 July 1942 in Ede. Upon his arrest he had two guns with him. Through the prison in Scheveningen he came into the camp Amersfoort, where he was executed on 29 July 1943 on the Leusderheide.
