    Biography

    Lieutenant colonel Szymon Fedoronko was the chaplain-in-chief of the orthodox christian church in the Polish Army. He was murdered by the NKVD in Katyn. While buried in Katyn, Fedoronko also has a symbolic grave on the orthodox christian cemetery of Warsaw. He was posthumously promoted to colonel in 2007.
