"On 30th September 1944, during the fighting around Merksplas / MR 400512 / in Belgium Sergeant Terlecki displayed great coolness and disregard for personal safety under constant enemy shell-fire whilst administering first aid to wounded soldiers of 8th Infantry Battalion.

On 31st October 1944 during the action on the Mark Kanal / MR 969425 / north side of Breda, he showed great coolness and personal courage whilst driving a Jeep between Artillery Observation post in full view of the enemy and under heavy mortar and artillery fire.

Sergeant Terlecki has by his constant coolness and devotion to duty under the most difficult condition, been a fine example of bravery and quiet efficiency".
