He has distinguished himself by courageous conduct in the face of the enemy in the underground resistance, mainly in the southern part of the country. Among other things, he was involved in the transport of escaped Allied prisoners-of-war and crew of aircraft. He also smuggled messages across the front line to intelligence groups following the liberation of the south of the country. He did his job in complete calm, resolutely and entirely free of charge.
