Received the Bronze Star for heroic service in connection with military operations in the vicinity of Pettencourt, France on September 27, 1944. Corporal Teague was a member of an anti tank squad assigned of protecting the flank of defensive positions established by the First Battalion, 137th infantry in Pettencourt France. For over 6 hours Teague's squad stood fast against more than two companies of enemy riflemen. Corporal Teague's heroic actions, outstanding devotion to duty and fighting spirit measurably contributed to his squad's success in repulsing the enemy counterattack and in rendering the Battalion position in the area secure.
