    "Flight Lieutenant Anderson has completed a large number of operational flights, in the course of which he attacked all the main targets in enemy territory. This officer also participated in two daylight raids on Le Creusot and Milan. He has always been a strong support to his captain and in no small measure has contributed to the success of all crews with whom he has flown. His work has been of great value. He possessed expert technical knowledge which has been an immense advantage in the training of new air crews."
