"For devotion to duty during both occasions this division was in the (...) in the vicinity of Pozieres, August 1916 and again in Ypres Salient September and October 1916. Sergt. Stevens was and is in charge of the 4th Div. Signal Office and it was greatly due to his devotion and keen sense of duty, that the enormous traffic which was handles at Tara Hill in Augustlast was transmitted without a hitch. Since arriving in the Ypres Sallient Sergt. Stevens is maintaining his good work."
