Biography

André Louis Armand Hissink, ook wel Piet, was born on June 26th, 1919 at Batavia as son to André Louis Armand Hissink (1884-1948) and Johanna Christina ter Brugge. He was drafted for mobilisation in in 1939 and placed with the groundforces of the Dutch Army Air forces. In May 1940 he was stationed at the Waalhaven Airfield. Soon after the lost May war, he evaded for England and, after a deviation via the Dutch East Indies, joined the No. 320 Squadron.
