Recommendation:
For having distinguished himself in combat against the enemy on May 10, 1940, as a member of a patrol which had been ordered to make a reconnaissance near the Delfgauw viaduct. The patrol attqacked the enemy who was hiding in the field east of the road behind the watershed and forced him to surrender and also forced the enemy on the west side of the road to surrender. He was killed during this action.
