    Recommendation:
    For having distinguished himself in combat against the enemy by exceptionally courageous and tactful deeds by joining an important resistance group in the fall of 1942, which forwarded military intelligence, in the occupied Netherlands with orders to organize part of this group.
    In particular by fullfilling this task in a very good manner and by obtaining good information, despite being arrested frequently, by personally directing the organization of his wireless service, the dropping of weapons and the selection of suitable dropzones until he died in early March as a result of the bombardment of The Hague.
    By this conduct rendering important services to the Allied conduct of the war and the Dutch Government.
