Biography

Roy Gordon Taylor served as gunner aboard B-26B #42-96132, 598th Bomber Squadron, 397th Bomber Group, Medium, U.S. Army Air Force. He held the rank of Sergeant.

On June 17th, 1944, the aircraft crashed in the English Channel near Friston, Sussex, after trying to reacht England. The aircraft was hit by anti-aircraft fire during a bomb attack.
All crewmembers were killed except the pilot, Captain Luther R. Williams.
