"For gallantry in action against the enemy between 17 February and 7 May 1945 in France. With complete disregard for his own personal safety, Enseigne Jimenez volunteered to serve with the Office of Strategic Services in the La Rochelle sector of the Atlantic pockets. He undertook an extremely hazardous and difficult mission in direct support of military operations against the German forces occupying the sector. Over a period of three months he achieved at constant risk of his own safety, a record for personal courage and superior quality of work almost unprecedented in the American organization. His services, which involved the transmission of intelligence from an organized chain of agents to his own headquarters, were marked by high intelligence, resourcefulness and devotion and constituted a great personal contribution to the Allied Cause."
