"This NCO was one of a tank crew in the action on 14th April 1945 at Sano Moralli, after his Squadron had captured this place it was held up by a wide ditch. Seeing that some enemy ofenrohr's and Spandau fire was coming from a house on the other side of the ditch, Lance Corporal Ducki dismounted from his tank, on his own initiative, crossed the ditch and made for the house. Armed only with a revolver, this courageous action resulted in the enemy attempting to withdraw from the house, a short burst of fire from the tank killed one enemy soldier and seriously wounded a second. This NCO's courage and initiative, which has always been outstanding, resulted in the elimination of this enemy point of resistance".
