Biography

Majer joined the "SPLdM" in Bydgozcz in 1935 and qualified as an Aircraft Mechanic in 1938. He was posted to 2nd Air Force Regiment in Cracow in 1938 and subsequently enlisted into the 21 Bomber Squadron. He fought in the September 1939 campaign as part of "Bomber Brigade". He was eventually evacuated to Romania on 17th September 1939.

Majer reached France and was posted to the UK, where he served with operational and non-operational units after a period of training. In the beginnng of 1944, he commenced training as an Air Engineer and was posted to 300 Bomber Squadron on 20th May 1944. On 3rd August 1944, Majer was transferred to 1586 Special Duties Flight in Italy.

He was killed while flying on an operational mission to Poland in "Halifax" No. UL-187 on 28th December 1944.
